RECRUIT JOURNALS
Journals are posted to USCGBOOTCAMP by close of business every Tuesday. The first journal for each company is posted in week three of training.
If a journal entry is not posted, it means one of two things, the company is in week one or two of training or the Web master did not receive a submission.
The journals were created to provide family and friends with a peek into the lives of their recruits. The recruit historians try to document the experiences of the company not individual recruits.
We hope you enjoy reading the journals and experiencing Coast Guard Recruit Training through the eyes of our Guardians in the making.

Congratulations H181!!! - We as parents are so proud of all of you!!! You are almost at the end of your training and will be going out into the world to see what new opportunities the Coast Guard has for you.Can't wait to see you all at graduation!! Congrats LIMA 181!!
It sounds like week two was tough, but you are coming together as a group and hanging in there. We are all so proud of you and can't wait to see you all looking so handsome and "clean shaven" at graduation (those who read the journal will get the shaving reference)!! Kevin Gill, we love you and miss you and hope you can see these blog comments, but we'll get lots more letters out you in case you can't. You'll all be Coast Guardsman soon and then a world of opportunities will await you. Keep at it Men!
Go J181!! You are coming together strong now after a tough start. We all knew that you would pull together. Congrats on having such high scores on your testing. May 15th cant come fast enough for all us old people.
It is so good to hear that J181 is kicking butt!!! We all have high hopes for y'all! Keep up the good work guys- and ladies! Miss you Pete, is it May 15th yet?!

Looking back I have done much in this life
I was a child, a mother, and a wife

As a child I always tried to be helpful
A little mischievous but wasn’t much trouble

As a mother I read stories, played games, and sang songs
Baked cookies, healed wounds, and righted the wrongs
