Inspection log comments by the Commandant and Master Chief of the Coast Guard

The Commandant, Adm. Thad Allen and the Master Chief of the Coast Guard, Charles Bowen attended the graduation ceremony for X-Ray 181, met with the Guardian Spouses, and recognized the achievements of several of our Coast Guard members.

Below are the comments they entered in the training center's inspection log.

From the Commandant:
"Terrific day at TRACEN with a very full day of activities. After breakfast with Rep LoBiondo, met with spouses, families, friends of Xray 181. Graduation was awesome! Tour of facilities and obstacle course demo by your "Combat Yeoman" was inspiring. Enjoyed the Company Commander Course graduation. Kudos to the Guardian Spouses and the recognition of the support team at the All Hands. You've got it right--Keep it up!"

From the MCPOCG:

"Visited TRACEN Cape May with Commandant to review changes to recruit training as well as present awards to TRACEN personnel and volunteer spouses for their efforts to create a "Family Support" day for relatives/spouses of graduating recruits. This initiative has the promise to do a great deal for the families of new Coast Guard members. Thanks to all TRACEN personnel for your role in the creation of our nation's Guardians."

Less than a week to go recruits! Congraduations to you all. You've made it thru the worst. Now just pass all your tests within the next 7 days and your home free. Steph, I just want to tell you how proud I am of you! Serving your country, especially by your own free will, is a great honor. What a great rememberance it is to be graduating on 9/11. Team work is what you've been taught, use it! There's a reason for the lessons. The very best to you all, GODs' Speed. Oh, by the way. What's a Coastie, somekind of cereal? lol
