Hello Mike-184,

When things go wrong as they sometimes will...when the road you're trudging seems all up hill... when the funds are low and the debts are high...and you want to smile... but you have to sigh... when care is pressing you down a bit...rest if you must but don't you quit! Life is queer with its twists and turns, as everyone of us sometimes learns and many a failure turns about when you might have won had you stuck it out; Don't give up though the pace seems slow- you may succeed with another blow. Success is failure turned indide out.The silver tint of the clouds of doubt and you never can tell how close you are... it may be near when it seems so far....so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-it's when things seem worst that you must not quit!

Petty Officer Jennifer M. Wielicki USCGC Mackinaw, Mom, Dad, Andy and Hunter.

Today I read November-184's Journal. It is Very encouraging and it make's this parent extrmely proud to hear things like *(Chief Garry said we had the best squad bays on the regiment. Highest scores he has ever seen from a week 04 company, even week 07.) I can not say enough about these fine recruits and the fine work the USCG Training group does in Cape May NJ. Much Love to everyone in the Coast Guard that protects this great country "The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" See you soon, SR Ryan Douglas Langlois.

SR Thomas Godfrey - I hope you're learning a lot and testing your limits a bit. Keep your spirit up and your tongue in check and you'll be out of recruit training before you know it. I heard a rumor that you'll be headed to Vicksburg, MS. There should be lots of outdoor activities in that neck of the woods. I hope you've found a career that you'll enjoy for years to come. We're all praying for you and we're proud of you too.
