Just had lunch with Grandmom and Grandpop, they are looking into coming for your graduation. I gave them some hints on where to stay and where not to stay. Things are going well here. Maureen's homecoming is next week and her play is the end of the month. We are keeping busy. Know we think of you often. Like my grass is so long, I was wishing you were around to cut it, even though we have a contract they seem to have stopped cutting the grass in the neighborhood.
Oh well, Keep rolling along - only a couple weeks left!

Our daughter told us they would find out today where they are getting stationed! They may be able to call home tonight. Just thought This would be a good way to find out if they are making calls. Just read the blog. Boy H-182 has been busy. Great to read about the 50/60 on your inspection. Glad H-182 was able to go out on your first off-base run and get to see some of the outside world. Every job that is presented upon you all is very important in one way shape or form no matter how trivial it may seem. Thats the way the Coast Guard works. I am so very proud of you and of Hotel 182. I am glad to know your plans will stay the same as you expected and that we will see you in 15 days. I was told by a customer that we are not allowed to hug you in uniform hope I do everything right so you don't get in trouble if theirs any other rules I need to know please tell me ahead of time. It was great to hear your voice and the excitment about you coming home for a bit before having to report to California. The ship is exactly what you were hoping, geared towards your degree. My son on the drill team, how exciting is that. I am hoping they film that along with the rest of the ceremony.

Just read the blog...I am cry happy tears for H182 for all the accomplishments, knowing that everyone in H182 will pass the final exam on Friday. I read the comments from H182's families and my heart fills with such "Pride" knowing that all of you will be "Standing Watch" over US. We will see you next week. RECRUIT JOURNALS

Journals are posted to USCGBOOTCAMP by close of business every Tuesday. The first journal for each company is posted in week three of training.

If a journal entry is not posted, it means one of two things, the company is in week one or two of training or the Web master did not receive a submission.

The journals were created to provide family and friends with a peek into the lives of their recruits. The recruit historians try to document the experiences of the company not individual recruits.

We hope you enjoy reading the journals and experiencing Coast Guard Recruit Training through the eyes of our Guardians in the making.
