It's Wednesday, almost can say two weeks until graduation. Wow!!! Been making reservations and lining things up. Hope you're excited about your next assignment. I was reading the graduation pages for the Golf-182's graduation and two members were posted to the same place. One on the "bridle" and on at the base. You won't be the only new guy on the block!! Yeah for the sunny weather. Hope it's the same near you. Will have my cell phone next to me all the time in anticipation of any possible phone calls over the weekend, etc. Can hardly wait!!! There is a site on uscg.mil and I think on uscgbootcamp.com that tells alot about graduation and the 5 day leave after that. They are expected to be at their new duty station on the morning of the 6th day. As for the Saturday calls, there is no set time but they should be on liberty in the after as best I can tell. Hope that helps. I wish I had the exact web site for graduation but I am sure you will find it. Congratulations for supporting such a great group of recruits!

Is it possible to save your 5 day leave for Christmas instead of right after graduation? We would much rather have you home for Christmas when everyone will be home and we can get the annual family Christmas photo taken. If you use you leave right after graduation, you will not have enough left to come home for Christmas/New Years.

So I just wanted to let you know that I haven't gotten a letter in the mail for you yet this week, because Tom and Janessa don't have stamps or envelopes. :( Kind of lame to not get mail your last week, huh? RECRUIT JOURNALS

Journals are posted to USCGBOOTCAMP by close of business every Tuesday. The first journal for each company is posted in week three of training.

If a journal entry is not posted, it means one of two things, the company is in week one or two of training or the Web master did not receive a submission.

The journals were created to provide family and friends with a peek into the lives of their recruits. The recruit historians try to document the experiences of the company not individual recruits.

We hope you enjoy reading the journals and experiencing Coast Guard Recruit Training through the eyes of our Guardians in the making.
