RECRUIT JOURNALS
Journals are posted to USCGBOOTCAMP by close of business every Tuesday. The first journal for each company is posted in week three of training.
If a journal entry is not posted, it means one of two things, the company is in week one or two of training or the Web master did not receive a submission.
The journals were created to provide family and friends with a peek into the lives of their recruits. The recruit historians try to document the experiences of the company not individual recruits.
We hope you enjoy reading the journals and experiencing Coast Guard Recruit Training through the eyes of our Guardians in the making.

i know that V 180 has been away so i didnt expect any update or journal today but will they be posting update or journal for them at all this week? i hope so.
Very excited tonight after receiving a phone call from my boyfriend! Its been a long 5 weeks. Also excited to find out his duty station, as we are getting married in june.
Thanks for the updates! Can't wait to find out where you're stationed, RMS! 3 more weeks! Keep up the great work!
Thank you XRay-180 for the more detailed journal and the pictures. I spoke with my daughter yesterday and it was wonderful. A few minutes are a heck of alot better than no minutes. Dig Deep and Work Togeather Team and we will see all of you in 16 days. love you Xray-180.
Thanks so much for the update! Go Yankee 180! SO proud of you Hunny!
So proud of Y 180 I can't wait to get a letter or phone call. Stay strong and we will see you soon.
So I missed my boyfriends phone call tonight, but I'm keeping my phone on me all day on Saturday, because he has liberty! I can't wait to hear is voice! It's been too long!
I meant to say "his" voice. I can't wait to find out where he's stationed!
So excited to speak to my SR Tuesday night. He still sounds a little homesick, but he's excited about his first duty station, and of course graduation!. Can't wait to see him and the whole comapny. Go X-180...you rock!
I am so proud of Sr Sandoval, my son! Can't wait to see you graduate Feb6th. I am counting down the days! Your family is beaming with pride! Way to go..
You are all in my prayers
XRay 180! Keep up the good work, two weeks til graduation. SR Sandoval...I miss you!
Wow! Thanks for letting W180 have liberty on Sat, 1-24. It was so great to hear from my son, Sean. I almost hung up on him because I didn't recognize his voice. I can't thank you enough for all you have done for him. He is so very proud to be apart of w180 and the Coast Guard. but he does want some "real" eggs when he comes home. See all this Fri for graduation!!!!!!!!!!
I am so proud of my son SR Lollis. Can't wait to see you at graduation.
WE ARE SOO PROUD OF OUR GRANDSON MICHAEL R. THORPE. HE GRADUATES FEB. 6,09. IT'S BEEN A LONG 8 WEEKS
BUT HE HAS LEARNED A LOT AND HE WILL BE A CREDIT TO THE USCG. THANK YOU USCG TRAINING FOR THE VALUES YOU TAUGHT HIM. MAY THEY ALL BE SAFE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTIES.
