A message from the fleet
Greeting Captain Thomas,
My name is SN Laster, I graduated out of company Yankee 179 back in August 2008 and was sent to Key West Florida to be part of USCGC Mohawks crew. I wanted to let you know that almost a year after I graduated from Cape May I still love the Coast Guard as much as the first day I arrived at my first unit. The work is hard and the hours are long but I still put our core values to practice everyday. Times in the past have been difficult but we carry on with the work that needs to be done.
Thank you so much for the training that I have received and for the time and effort our company commanders put into us. YN1 Durrant, YN2 Garcia, MK1 Bailey, and MK1 Wagner, were my company commanders -- to this day they and my mother are the only people that scare me. Thank you again.

Mike 181 conducts their first rescue mission
Mike 181 recruits rescued several baby ducklings from a rain gutter located near the main road at Coast Guard Training Center Cape May on May 25, 2009.Mike 181 recruits witnessed the mama duck walking around in circles and decided to investigate.
All the ducklings were rescued and delivered back to their mama.
