I enjoyed the pictures. We could even pick you out in a couple of them. you look like one of the bunch. I know you are learning a lot and starting to enjoy some parts of basic. Hang in there and we'll see you soon. Not much new here. R. finished the addition on the barn today and we got the fenced moved back so looks like there is a lot more yard space. More to mow.

we had fresh green beans, corn on cob, radishes and blueberries tonight. I picked a gallon of blueberries and still didnt finish.

R is napping and I've talked to Becca tonight.

I'm really proud of you and can't wait to see you in your uniform. Take care and hang in there.
love ya, mom

It was so great hearing your voice today. Will send you some pictures of Amber's graduation in a couple of days.

I'm getting behind on my "cropping, editing, etc". I took over 400 pics at my brother's wedding of his granddaughter.

I took over 200 of the Allen reunion in Moyock, NC.

I took over 200 of Amber's graduation.

And today, I took over 200 at Billy's Sunday school picnic.

As usual,he's laid back in the recliner, lightly clutching the remote, sleeping while he's supposedly watching the ballgame. I have to go and wake him up, and tell him who won. Oh how I envy people who can "sit down for anything".

Jon has gone to spend the night at Taylor's house again. Gavin will be here for a couple of days more. Can't complain, he, like you, have never given me any trouble. That's saying a lot. Thanks Brian!

Well, it rained enough for the ducks to take a bath today. It rained on the picnic too, but the people had a nice big home with plenty of room to be held inside as well.

Out in the garage the man had a great big shiny red motorcycle. He also had a rig he had put together. It was a small cart with 2 bar stools and a steering wheel, powered by a lawnmover engine.

"WELCOME TO THE GOVERNMENT MOTORS CAR OF THE FUTURE". There will be one advantage, you can ride on the grass as well as on the street, and cut a swath for those who have to walk because they can no longer afford their "HUMMERS".

I'm all for HUMMERS! I'm all for drilling for oil on our shores. I'm all for "throwing the bums out of Washington and starting over". A bunch of freshman who could spell "CONSTITUTION" & "FREE ENTERPRISE" would do better. It's a good thing we can't commune with the dead. Thomas Jefferson and George Washington would have a couple of things to tell the current crop of politicians who treat the folks outside the beltway as though they were "subjects" and "idiots". Can't wait to vote for our Virginia Governor. Too bad more politicians' jobs "aren't up for grabs".

Well believe it or not, I'm going to retire. I have averaged less than 5 hours sleep a night. The only good thing about that is that I can sleep as late as my schedule will allow. I don't have any drill sergeant calling my name at 4:30 in the morning for some extra "Incentive training"! I AM THE DRILL SERGEANT AROUND HERE!

Well, will sign off for now. Haven't had time to read the news today, but I can tell you, it's the SAME SONG -- SECOND VERSE.

I'm looking forward to listening to Benjamin Netanyahu give a speech tomorrow.

I see that "Ah Mu Deen A Jod" (phonetic spelling) of Iran won his reelection bid. You might call it "BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND". Just one small thing, they really don't have a choice. Because his opponents votes have a way of not being counted. It's always that way in a dictatorship.

The United States is the best country on the face of the Earth. Thank God for the military who have sacrificed their time and often their life, keeping us safe. This time, it looks like we need protection from "enemies here at home as well as abroad". Well for the last time, words will never be able to express the depth of love and admiration we have for you.

Love both "Gs"
