Thank you for the picture. My son is in Kilo-180. Unfortunately for me I can't see him in the photo. However, it is very comforting seeing anything we can. I'm hoping Kilo-180 will have a journal and maybe more pictures. Loving the whole journal thing!

I can not tell you how emotional it was to see that picture. After taking it into windows pic viewer and enlarging it slightly, I was able to pick out who I believe is my son (5 back on the outside) ... I will ask where he stands in the formation when we talk this weekend!

Thank you so very much for this!

It's really hard being away from our son. We are very proud of him and we wish we could see his picture on this site. HE finally got to call today so I could give him flight info. We are so proud of him and grateful that he is in and he is so happy, but I will just say that this is the hardest thing. You birth them, they almost die at birth, you protect them, try to teach them, have as much fun as you can with them, you don't want to let them go, you don't expect them to leave so soon, and now he is gone on his great adventure and the pain in my heart is so great, along with the pride in our hearts. My little boy, our little boy. I can't wait for Halloween. Thank you, Coast Guard. Thank you.

To see the picture of Kilo 180 brings chills to me. So incredibly awesome to see our son and his company while at boot camp. Missing him so much but so very proud of him and all the other young men and women who have chosen to become part of the Coast Guard Family. God Bless all of them and their families during this time apart and in their new chapters in life following graduation. Can't wait for October 31st!

This is wonderful, I had no idea this website existed until I received a note from my son. I'm counting the day's until October 31st! This has been a tough"only 8 weeks" for all of us. These lives have been changed forever, they will go on to achieve great things! Big dreams don't fit into a small life...Live your dreams KILO!

I am sad there hasn't been anything posted about Kilo-180 in over a week. I check everyday and several times a day. It was good to see Juliet because I know what Kilo will be going through this week. I am so anxious to see something from Kilo!
