Well this has been the longest week I have endured. Technology has spoiled us and when we can't talk to a loved one via text, email or cell phone we go through withdrawls. Oh well, journals should be posted soon. Hope to see the first one from Delta this week if there was time to do one in week one.

Once you get your first letter you will feel better about everything

Mrhott said...

Got the letter with her address on it yesterday. This week maybe a real letter if she had time on Sunday to write one. If not that is ok. The most important thing is for her to work on her knowledge and help the company achieve thier goals. Dad can take 2nd place for this.

I got a call from my son today. It was so great to from him. {He has never been away from home for more than a week before now. He has now been gone 4 weeks.} Yet, he was calling with bad news. He was reverted back one week to Delta 181. Hopefully this will be a good thing. Even though it was bad news, it was wonderful to hear his voice. I look forward to graduation. Lots of luck and love to all of Delta 181.

I am so Proud of my son "Will Cumbie" and all of the recruits in Delta 181. I know this is going to be one of the toughest things that any of you have ever done, just remember you are a TEAM! Work as one! You cannot do it by yourself, so pull together and "Get er Done"!!!! HOO RAH!

Unknown said...

And to all of the parents, with children up there in Cape May, know that my heart is with you all, this is one of the toughest things I have ever endured. My son "Will" is my only child and I miss him deeply. But I know he and his shipmates have a bond that will never be broken! I know...I was a Navy UDT Diver.
I LOVE YOU SON! DO GOOD!

Hello to Harry, Parent of Will. My son just joined Company Delta 181 this week. We will, also, be flying up from Florida for the graduation. We look forward to meeting you. Hopefully being with someone else from Florida will be a help to my son.

Unknown said...

Heyy Soccermom,
We are in Titusville/Mims area and will be flying out of Orlando of course...Yes, having a "Homeboy" in there always helps. I remember in my Navy boot camp and B.U.D.S.Training there were a couple of guys from Florida and we were like Brothers!
So I'm sure Will and your son will be fast friends!
Look for me at the Graduation, I am a big goofy guy, 6'3" Shaved head and I will be with a younger guy that is 6'7" so we wont be hard to spot! Introduce yourself if you see us!
I can't wait!!! i miss him so much!
Thanks for the words!
Harry

Hello Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Friends (and children) of DELTA 181. We're almost finished with bootcamp. Yes, 'we are'! I've often stated during this time that my son has been away, that we (his parents/family) are also in some form of bootcamp. Having to adjust mentally, spiritually and physically during son/daughter's time away. For many of us, this is the longest our 'baby' has been away from home. Not to return a 'baby' - but hey, they'll always be our 'baby'. Anyway, I look forward to meeting and greeting you all on that glorious graduation date - April 3rd. God bless YOU and our DELTA's 181.

Unknown said...
