Hi Rachel, Wow, Sierra 181...it's not the "J." So much has changed since you left, just kidding. Ryan says "Hi" from Khandahar, Afghanistan. Rich from Clearwater Air Station says you'll do great. Grandpa & Grandma send their love. Mom and I are very proud of you, and excited by the challenge you've taken on. Looking forward to seeing you at graduation. Love Dad and Mom

Hi Tommy!!! All of our thoughts and prayers are with you as you journey through boot camp. We love you and miss you very much - it has done nothing but rain since you left - Shia took over your bed and left you a pile of fur as your new bed cover. You dad bought you some more sausage but I guess it will have to wait until you get back to eat. Love, Mom, Dad and your pesky sister, Lesley

Unknown said...

Sierra 181...My thoughts are with you :) I know that things are getting really tough for you now!!! But keep your spirits and head up!! It is very important to stay focused and work as a team now. This eight weeks is a test, remember that. None of you joined the USCG for boot camp!!! your all joined for what your future holds after boot camp!!! Remember that!!! You are almost at the 3 week mark, 5 more to go. I know that it feels like a life time right now, and I am sure that it has crossed many of your minds of quitting or what was the reason that I joined to begin with. But I promise you that when it is all over you will feel proud of what you have just accomplished for the last eight weeks and came out a winner. Graduation will be one of your proudest days!!!
No one said that Boot camp was easy...if they did everyone would join! You all chose to join 1 of the hardest boot camps there is. The USCG only excepts the best. Than can be selective and would not have asked any of you to join their team if they did not feel that you could not stand up and meet their requirements.
Trust me also when I say this...Your Commanders do not want you to fail. It may seem like that. Their job is not to make you fail...their job is to make you strong leaders, and team members.
Remember that we love and miss you... and can't wait to hear from you.
Hang in there!!! Sierra 181
Love ya Brandon XXOO
