Another day done and before you know it you will be graduating and moving on to your first assignment.
Its hard to believe now, but for the rest of your life, you will remember your time in bootcamp. As the muscle aches disappear and the ringing in your ears stop you will remember bootcamp as an enjoyable experience.
As you are learning, the days are long but the weeks are short. Soon you will be standing at attention in front of your friends and families as a new Guardian of Freedom. You are the Shield of Freedom. Dad

I was very touched and sadden by the recruits there who haven't received any letters yet. Well here is to all of you.... THANK YOU and keep up the good work. HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Our Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you.

SR Aceituno, I read the Company's Journal today. No wonder the Costies have such a great reputation. With all the wonderful training you guys get, it is no surprise. Getting to form a cohesive Team, with all of 85 plus different personalities and ages, is quiet a task. Take one step at a time guys, you will make it. And when it is all done, you'll look back and rejoice on your accomplishments.
I do hope you guys get something special for Christmas like...10 more minutes of sleep or 10 more seconds for your showers.
Mr "D" stay focus, with a positive attitude and giving all the possible effort needed. We miss you and are looking forward to seeing you for your
Graduation. The biggest and warmest hug from Dad.

SR Kevin Grant, we got your letter on Dec. 26th, just like Dads'. Hope you keep doing well, Dad told us you passed everything so far, even the swim, which is the hardest. The run is a "puff" compared to the swim. Hope to see you on Jan.29th,2010.Imagine 2010, thank God 2009 will soon be over, been a tough year. But you can't keep an old Veteran down for long. You have made us and especially your parents very proud. The cooking pans are ready, Chicken soup and Marsala. Love from Roland, Nannie and Nana

SR Aceituno, what a great feeling after talking with you on the 25th. The best present we could have hoped for;hearing your voice and overall your enthusiasm for what is coming. Apparently, the fun stuff starts in week 4, great, remain focus, you are almost there. It is hard to express our appreciation for all the families that took the T-182 into their homes and shared their spirits with all of you; it is so special. Also, apparently, the "outting" came at the right time, what a great morale booster.
Big hug and lots of kisses from Mom and Dad.
