Message to family and friends of recruits

Many family members and friends have been watching the news and know that Cape May, N.J., and the surrounding areas have experienced a high volume of snow and power outages. This note is to let you know that the base does have power and recruits are continuing with normal operations.

USCG BOOT CAMP Website updater;

I just read the Recruit Blog for Victory 182 dated 2/7/10, it was a bit alarming as it states the entire center is out of power. Please confirm. Please let us know if this was a typographical error and if not if power has returned.

Thank you concerned parent of X-Ray 182 Recruit.

Sure would LOVE to hear about the recruits that arrived 2/9. I'm thinking they will be named the "Yanke" group (since the last one was X-ray and it appears it's all alphabetical). Signed, anxious Mom.

This is where we are booking. It looks clean and modern and the price is reasonable.

We could have stayed on base but for $30 difference this is nicer and we don't have to clean and strip beds and wait for an inspection. Plus check in and out is not restricted to certain hours.

SR SALCIDO, we are proud of you, continue to stay strong! Remember all the hard work you did to prepare yourself (your circuit traning, running, weight lifting). You can do anything you put your mind to! X-Ray 182 I am praying for you! Coastie Mom, Michelle
