We all miss you very much, but also rooting for you. We were in Cape May this past Sunday 7/5 & watched the parade. We will be there again on 8/2 & will see you then. I miss you very much especially "Maaa!". Princess misses you, sits by your room every day.
We all love you very much & can't wait for you to come home, time is passing very fast (maybe not for you) but before you know it, it will be 8/21.

Sean,

I hope you're doing well! Everyone's been asking for your address, so expect lots of love soon! Your mom & I have been looking at plane tickets & hotels trying to find good rates for all of us (haha so if anyone reading this can help me find a flight from Columbia, SC to see my sweetheart that'd be wonderful! Haha nothing like free advertising ;b) I can't wait for that day! :D & if you're slightly confused as to who the "spence" is, it's your future Mrs. Spence ;D

To all the fellow members of Y-181, congrats! You've made it through the hardest part - your first few weeks. Keep your heads held high & push beyond what you think you can do. I've been praying & fasting since the day you left for God to be your comfort & strength. All of your families are behind you all the way & love you as our own. So from all of the mothers, fathers, brothers & sisters; husbands, wives, fiancees, sons, & daughters- we send all of our love & prayers to lift you up. Keep it up! We are so proud of you!

I miss you & love you so very much baby!

Consider it all joy, my shipmates, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the R9 testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Two down ~ Six to go ~ Bring it on!!!

Does anyone know if the recruits actually see these blogs?

Unknown said...

To answer the question posed by My heart belongs to a Coastie... yes, according to the historian from X-ray 181 (from this week's journal entry), the recruits do get to hear what is written in the blogs starting during week 3 of training. I know that I'm going to write a lot more!

Unknown said...

Go Yankee 181 - we're all eagerly waiting to read next week's journal entry. Your families & friends love you and are rooting and cheering every accomplishment. Work together, stay strong, take pride in what you are accomplishing. We can't wait to see you marching proudly at graduation!
