RECRUIT JOURNALS
Journals are posted to USCGBOOTCAMP by close of business every Tuesday. The first journal for each company is posted in week three of training.
If a journal entry is not posted, it means one of two things, the company is in week one or two of training or the Web master did not receive a submission.
The journals were created to provide family and friends with a peek into the lives of their recruits. The recruit historians try to document the experiences of the company not individual recruits.
We hope you enjoy reading the journals and experiencing Coast Guard Recruit Training through the eyes of our Guardians in the making.

Whiskey 181 - I'm speechless! You are really moving in the right direction! Keep at it, you're more than half-way done! Looking forward to seeing all of you graduate in three 1/2 weeks! Stay Strong!!!
Whiskey 181 - Way to go! You are on the down hill run but keep on your toes! SR DeColores we are thinking of driving out with M.O. You have hometown friends in NYC too (C.R. and A.H.) that want you to visit. Maybe we can all stay there until you ship out? Consider that when you make travel plans - but we will go with whatever direction you need and want. Keep focused and disciplined!
Your home team is cheering you on!
Oh, and hey Whiskey - where's the photos?
With each passsing week, you continue to accomplish more and more. We are so proud of every member of Whiskey 181. Keep up the good work. You're past the half way mark and there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Don't lose sight of that final goal. Continue to give it your all.
W-181 - Sure feels good when your company really begins to function as a team. There is much work ahead recruits. The time has come to really demonstrate your best. The sprint to victory is upon you. You have all made us very proud and earned our respect with your sweat and hard work. Now finish these final weeks as only the U. S. Coast Guard's finest can. Sounds as though many exciting things have been happening there! Stay strong and focused, as that is what makes your job so important to our country...losing sight of your purpose will only hinder your progress! It is hard to believe that in a few short weeks we will all get to bask in the pride we will feel as we watch you graduate: the end result of weeks of dedication, devotion, and I'm sure some sweat and tears as well. Hang in there, enjoy your rise to the top, and don't forget-you've all got what it takes to make this the best thing you've ever done!
