To be able to see the progress of our son is a great gift. There isn't a day that goes by that many prayers are lifted up for him and the people he is serving with. Now it will be a pleasure to put faces to those prayers.
We are so very proud that our son has chosen to serve and protect our homeland.

I'm curious to find out how many 'empty nesters' there are now since Zulu 180 formed.
My husband and I now join that club. We have 4 children with our youngest now a Coastie.
It has been hard to have him gone, but we know he is doing the right thing.
Anyone received letters yet?
Blessing on our Coasties and all of their families!

I see that it has been a bit tough. Anything that you work hard at and earn is going to be tough. It also becomes that much more rewarding. Hold your heads up and encourage each other and you will be able to find yourselves becoming a great team. To phrase the late Jimmy V; Don't give up, Don't ever give up. GO ZULU 180!

We have been following Yankee 180's posts and they started getting phone calls this past Saturday. Some are still waiting for their phone call. Others got calls today. So...we're thinking we may start hearing from ZULU 180 on Valentine's Day or at least on that weekend!! We are so excited to find out where our son is going to be stationed. We got another letter yesterday and he was very upbeat about everything. He said they are coming together as a unit. Roll Tide Family...we are staying at the Congress Hall Hotel. We got a good deal there.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

Our son had to get 2 of his widom teeth out this week. Does anyone else know if their son/daughter had to get theirs out? He also said he has been sick with sinus trouble since he has been there.
He received our flight information and is meeting with the SATO next week about flying back with us. We are so excited and can't wait for graduation.
GO ZULU 180!!!!!

Proud NC Mom said...

Does anyone know if each graduate is limited to the number of people that may attend his/her graduation ceremony at Cape May?

Proud Perry Parents said...

So happy to hear you got your call about your son's station in California! I asked my son if he had gotten his wisdom teeth out and he said he had not yet but maybe in the next few days. He also mentioned in his letter that he was sick but thought he might be getting better. I read there was no limit to the number of people that you bring. It is open to the public as well. We are really looking forward to graduation!!! Go Zulu 180!!!!

Proud Perry Parents said...

Ooops... Roll tide family, I meant to say I was happy to hear of your son getting stationed in VA, not Califonia! : ). Was that on his dream sheet?

Proud Perry Parents said...

Way to go ZULU 180 for coming together as a team and earning your Colors!!! We are so proud of you!

Proud Mom said...

Zulu seems to be getting it together, way to go, we are proud of all of you

We finally heard from our son on Saturday. What a great Valentine's gift!
He had his wisdom teeth out the day before and he had been pretty sick. I guess there was a lot of that going around!
He will be going back to Cape May to be on a 87' Cutter. That wasn't his first choice, but he was pretty excited about it. He is coming home for a few days and flying back to Cape May. It sure was good to hear his voice. It will be even better to see them all graduate.
And we were finally able to see him in a photo.
Congrats Zulu 180! You are all doing great! We are certainly proud of you all!
